india tomorrow! i'll be in india from october 10-15 and won't be on the ship so don't worry about me being dead or something if i don't respond to emails for a while. currently watching the logistical preport on tv from our room and i'm so stressed out and we're not even there yet. dr. phil (yes, that's really our shipboard doctor's name) just got on and told us that after a week in india, studies show 25% of the group will be sick. based on that, about 150 people will get sick. um, WHAT!? our green sheet basically said "remember what we told you not to do in the past ports... REALLY don't do it in india." so water/ice, fruits and vegetables... basically anything fun and socially acceptable in america are off limits. yayyy. and i've heard from past voyagers that we basically just throw our shoes away after india. yeah sure, whatever you guys say. then, three days ago the crew began taping cardboard and syran wraping the ENTIRE ship. why? we're SO dirty when we get back on the ship that they have to replace the carpet because they can't get it clean enough. if that's not a huge, giant red flag i don't know what is!?

also, who knew we could get crazier than american tsa!? turns out when flying on domestic flights in india, you can't take any liquids, gels, etc. of any size. so that means no toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner, etc... for FIVE DAYS!!!! again, i'm from america... the land of hygiene. no wonder it smells so bad in india (or so i'm told). but don't you fret, i emailed our tour guide and was like "under no circumstances am i going five days without toothpaste and proper shampoo... so we're going to need to figure something out here. because i'm a diva.

in other news, i got my eyebrows done today. that was another fun time. pretty sure my eyebrow lady is going to slap me right across the face when i get home, but that's okay. i feel so pretty when i get my eyebrows done. and i figure if i'm going to be crying in the corner trying not to die in india for five days, i might as well feel pretty.

okay well, india ready or not, here i come!
